TWC Program Offers Recognition for Pesticide Testing

Last week Confidence Analytics was recognized by Marijuana Business Daily.  Reporter Bart Schaneman published a story titledCovid-19 delays mandatory pesticide testing for Washington state recreational cannabis. Our Tested with Confidence Program™ got some ink as well as our CEO, Nick Mosely and TWC Program Director, Lara Kaminsky. The article recognized that due to the coronavirus, Washington state delayed hearings on the implementation of state mandated pesticide testing.

With no state requirements attributable to pesticides and contaminants, Confidence recognized a couple years ago certain clients were interested in testing that went beyond state requirements. Without the ability to attach an “organic” label to products (a federal term that cannot be used in the cannabis world), brands wanted some consumer indicator that their product was – well, “cleaner” than required. And with clients, like SubX, wanting to be recognized for their efforts in exceeding state requirements for quality assurance testing, the Tested with Confidence Program™ was born. The Program provides a platform for brands to receive a labeling mark and media recognition indicating their products meet or exceed state requirements for pesticides and contaminants.
